It is a buildup of calcium oxide that collects on the top of the paver as a result of moisture leeching through the concrete. Don’t worry. Efflorescence is not permanent. It typically appears in fall, winter, or early spring. It can typically be removed with a stiff bristle brush. Don’t use a wire brush. If a stiff brush doesn’t work, check with your local paver dealer about efflorescence remover – a gentle acid that helps break up the residue.
A: Yes. Concrete pavers can be installed over existing surfaces under the right circumstances. First the integrity of the substrate must be sound; no crack, heaves, or dips. These broken pieces are often chipped on the corners so these can be used for cuts, halves or sometimes small pieces needed in the corner to finish off a job. This will minimize wastage.
A: All pavers are delivered on wooden pallets. When you have finished with the pallet there is a number on the packets you can call for collection. The manufacturer will collect these for you next time they are in your area. This can take up to one to two weeks.
